Crow Wing County has introduced PulsePoint Respond, a vital tool that empowers everyday citizens to assist in life-saving efforts during sudden cardiac arrests.
Users of the app, particularly those trained in CPR and willing to help in an emergency, can be alerted if someone nearby is experiencing a cardiac emergency and may need CPR. This is especially important for Zone 3 and other first responders in the region.
In public spaces, the app utilizes location data to send notifications to users near the emergency at the same time advanced medical services are dispatched, ensuring that North Crow Wing County First Responders are supported by the community. Additionally, the app directs potential rescuers to the nearest Automated External Defibrillator (AED). PulsePoint Respond is a 911-connected app that instantly notifies users of emergencies in their community, requesting help when CPR is needed nearby.
