Our Mission
At North Crow Wing First Responders, our mission is to provide prompt and professional emergency medical services to our community. We are dedicated to ensuring the health and safety of the residents we serve, utilizing the latest medical advancements and training.
Our group is comprised of 28 members that are certified as Emergency Medical Responders, Emergency Medical Technicians, Paramedics, Registered Nurses, Firefighters, and/or Police Officers.
Our volunteer group is 100% funded by generous donations and is a 501(c)3 organization.
Coverage area
North Crow Wing First Responders covers 196 Square Miles and approximately 7,700 full time residents, including the cities/townships of:
- The City of Breezy Point
- The City of Pequot Lakes
- The City of Jenkins
- Jenkins Township
- Moose Lake Township
- Loon Lake Township
- Maple Township
Pulse Point App
Crow Wing County has introduced PulsePoint Respond, a tool that enables everyday citizens to assist in life-saving efforts during sudden cardiac arrests.
Users of the app who are trained in CPR and willing to help in an emergency can be alerted if someone nearby is experiencing a cardiac emergency and may need CPR.
In public spaces, the app, which uses location data, sends notifications to users near the emergency at the same time advanced medical services are dispatched. It also directs these potential rescuers to the nearest Automated External Defibrillator (AED). PulsePoint Respond is a 911-connected app that instantly notifies users of emergencies in their community and requests help when CPR is needed nearby.
